The kids and I made gingerbread and it was fun. I tried to let them do most of the mixing and cutting themselves, and they did all the decorating.

We used the Post Punk Kitchen gingerbread recipe, but left out the cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves and added more ginger instead. For the icing we just used icing sugar with some soy milk, and natural colourings. Probably I should have used a bit less soy milk as the icing was a little more relaxed than I was aiming for, but the gingerbread people, houses, cars and dogs ended up colourful and delicious, which is really all that matters, right?
